KILIMANJARO GUIDE - Location Map of the Mountain!



	Kilimanjaro is located in the far North of Tanzania, hard up against the Kenyan Border. In fact the lower slopes of the Northern side of the mountain run down into Kenya. It is in fact towards the Eastern side of the country, and is located between the city of Arusha, and the town of Moshi. Just a short distance from the mountain is located the Kilimanjaro International Airport (1 hr from Moshi, 1.5 hrs from Arusha).
	Kilimanjaro is actually one of a series of volcanoes in Tanzania, notable others include Meru (4566m)- which is approximately 60km distant, and further still away is Lengai - a little lower in altitude (approx 2886m) but nevertheless awesome. The mountain is very close to the equator, and hence the weather at the base of the mountain is year round warm.... this does not apply as your climb begins...
