Your experienced guide will lead you through two days of varied biking with enjoyable off road trail sections, and quiet on road sections.

The Peak District forms a spectacular range of upland wilderness within easy reach of most of the UK. With a good selection of trails both in the valleys and high on the hills, we are able to construct long off road sections, and good leg burning up hills, and adrenaline fuelled downhills.

Itinerary

A detailed itinerary will be provided on your joining instructions (released upon booking), below is a rough outline…

Arrive Friday evening— by 21:00

Saturday—The Big Ride—depart Accomm by 08:45
Return by 18:00—to change and get ready for night out!

Sunday—Ride from 09:30 to 15:30 — then depart from Accomm.

Medical Issues

Reasonable level of fitness required – several short hills will be encountered – although we shall move at a speed suitable for the slowest team member. NB. We shall be covering distance of no more than 25 miles in each day. Whilst this is not a huge distance, it will give you a good training platform and experience for any forthcoming expeditions... The team may at some stage break down into sub teams in order to accommodate different speeds – at all times you will be accompanied by an experienced Leader. At no time will you be pushed / cajoled into working harder than you feel comfortable with (unless specific instructions are received from you personally to the contrary!!)

Safety Information

By nature all activities contain an element of risk.Your leader will be first aid qualified and will carry the appropriate safety kit for the activity, such as mountain safety shelters, walking rope and from time to time mobile radios. Safety equipment carried will be appropriate to trip. The leader's primary role is to ensure your safety, but it is your responsibility to listen to their guidance and instructions.

Weather

Being in the UK we should be prepared for anything. Whilst not wishing everyone to bring heaps of equipment we should be prepared for both poor weather and scorching hot weather. Bring both equipment to protect from hot sun, and also to protect in case it rains. It is unlikely to be cold.
