Adventure
Cafe opened its doors on 19th July 2003, with the aim of
providing a better access route to adventure. Many people
watch Adventure on the Television, or wear clothing with
Adventurous Branding, but wonder where to begin with living
an Adventurous lifestyle. Adventure Cafe opened its doors
to adress exactly that issue.
Richard
and Nadine McLaughlin, had been involved with adventurous
expeditions, unusual holidays, and travelling to over fifty
countries between them including a record breaking Bicycle
and Sea Kayaking Journey from London to Sydney Australia.
They decided to set up their company in the South of
England where, it was hoped, most people would benefit from
their experiences.
Having
been priviledged to set foot in some of the most pristene
environments, we know that the planet is worth saving. Places
like the Great Barrier Reef, The Tibetan Plateau, the Islands
of Indonesia and the Wilderness of Scotland are our inheritance
that we may pass on to our future generations. If Adventure
Cafe helps a few more people to visit such wonderful places,
and to take steps to protect them, then our business will
have been worthwhile. We can all make a difference...
Nowadays Adventure Cafe specialises heavily in Challenge Adventure - and works with over 20 UK Charities - as well as numerous large corporate clients - offering both Worldwide, but increasingly UK based and European Adventure Challenges - helping raise funds for many UK Charities.
