Multi Activity Adventure

Get Ready for a full on epic adventure challenge in arguably the most beautiful spot in the Southern Half of the UK. With the outstandingly beautiful Wye River carving its way through the Forest of Dean, we have the perfect playground for a stacked out challenge day. Meeting on Friday evening, you will have an initial briefing, followed by an early start on Saturday morning! Our Megaventure day will start with the main event briefing, dividing into your challenge - and then one epic day of challenges will follow!

After your arrival on Friday evening we shall have an event briefing, and then a little time to meet your fellow challengers, and event leaders.

We will begin early, as we have a BIG day of activities to pack in - from our first activity - paddling the amazing river Wye - 5 km, before a quick change on to abseiling, then another quick change to rock climbing. Lunch break will be a rapoid affair - as you now have a trail run / walk of 8km, before we test your mental capacity under pressure - the final competitive stage is the Orienteering. This will bring you to a convenient location ready for a celebration, of a fantastic adrenaline filled day in the outdoors. Be prepared for a touch day... but memories to carry with you forever.



Day 1 - Arrive for pre-event briefing & buffet dinner - latest suggested arrival 20:00 - Prepare gear and discuss team tactics.

* Note that the distances may be tailored to suit the group. Also - in the case of larger groups, teams may be split and tackle events in a different order.

You will be accommodated in good quality bunkhouse accommodation, evening meals will be taken in local pubs (reserved - but not included) . (Optional Camping for Saturday night in Symonds Yat - may be essential to camp subject to availability)


What is a Level 3.0 Multi Activity Challenge Like?

These challenges are either longer, higher, or span several days. In the case of single day events, you can expect around 8 hours of full on multi activity. In the case of a multi day challenge, you can expect a lower daily duration, but of course the effort is sustained over a longer period. You need to be used to challenging physical exercise for these events, and to enjoy your training, and to do it regularly. Longer duration challenges are likely to be easier in terms of the physical effort, however, you will need to be more resilient due to simple living conditions, i.e. using same clothes for several days, simple food, and maybe camping. This forms an integral part of the challenge.


How Fit Do I need to be to join a Level 3.0 ‘Multi Activity Challenge’?

You need to have good endurance for these events. You must be used to doing longer days in the outdoors - 7-8 hours. You should be doing regular exercise - with some intense outdoors exercise. You should be used to long rides, long walks, and all round challenging days. You need to have balanced the need for multiple forms of exercise in your training - including some upper body work, and some flexilbility.


Medical Issues

Please note, it is extremely important for this physical challenge that you are in good health. If you have any pre-existing medical conditions, please consider carefully whether you should be joining the challenge. Please ensure you fill in the booking form accurately and honestly, this is important. In the case of serious conditions (epilepsy, diabetes, heart conditions, recent illness or operations), please discuss the challenge with your GP. Please also ensure you notify us of any allergies or similar.

It requires stamina and good aerobic fitness - but good willpower will also come in handy! Failure to disclose medical conditions is a serious omission - that could have serious repercussions on any of our challenges.

This event is designed for groups of 16 persons and above.

Safety Information

By nature all activities contain an element of risk.Your leader will be first aid qualified and will carry the appropriate safety kit for the activity, such as mountain safety shelters, walking rope and from time to time mobile radios. Safety equipment carried will be appropriate to trip. The leader's primary role is to ensure your safety, but it is your responsibility to listen to their guidance and instructions. All climbing equipment is regularly checked and is retired well within its recommended shelf life - as recommended by the Mountain Leader Training Guidelines.



This event is a summer adventure challenge - and typically runs in May to September - weather should be warm (ish) - but at all times you should expect a mixture! Be prepared!
