England Chiltern Three Peaks A wonderful opportunity to explore the northern area of the famous Area of Outstanding National Beauty, the Chiltern Hills. Starting from Wendover, you will walk south to reach Coombe Hill at 250m. From here you can look out north west over the flats towards Oxford and Aylesbury. You will then descend down the valley then up through native deciduous woodland to reach the summit of Haddington Hill at 273m. You will keep hard-earned height and reach the last summit Aston Hill at 262m. England Dartmoor 10 Tors Challenge Take a walk on the wild side in the West Country's last great wilderness - the scene of an annual classic challenge 'Ten Tors'. We'll recreate our own Ten Tors challenge taking in the very best of the Moors. England Hadrian's Wall 3 Day Newcastle to Carlisle Take on this challenging traverse of the country from Newcastle to Carlisle in just 3 days! Take yourself back in history and walk the route of Hadrian's Wall. Was it built to keep the Scots out or to keep the Northern England Brigantes tribe in? Whichever, it was an impressive feat of engineering being 8-10 feet wide and 15 feet high with a rampart walk and a 6 foot high parapet. This is a tough challenge with distances of 26 miles on Day 1, then 20 miles on Day 2 and 22 miles Day 3. England London to Brighton 100km Walk Come and join us on a fantastic challenge from Richmond in London al the way to Brighton Pier in just 2 days! The route will be 100km, and will be a team ‘March’ led by walking marshals keeping the group together along the route. The Route is designed to take in as many green views as possible heading out along the river. We spend our second night in Copthorne at the 50km mark. England Peak District Skyline This marathon length challenge with a half marathon option shall see us taking in one long day of trekking along the Roman Roads, gritstone edges and classic ridges of the Vale of Edale and the Pennine way. Get ready for this massive challenge - and also be ready for a beautiful walk through breathtaking scenery. We shall climb up from Edale on to the first ridge line to take in Hollins Cross, Mam Tor and Lord's Seat before dropping back down into the Hope Valley at Upper Booth. We shall then pick up the classic Pennine Way up Jacob's ladder to gain the highest peak of the day Kinder Low at 632m. At this point there is the option to head down the mountain and return to base achieving 13 miles in total. For those completing the full distance we shall then follow the Southern ridge of the Kinder Scout plateau overlooking the array of unusual peat formations along the way. Once up on this ridge line, we won't dip below 1,000ft until we drop down to cross the river Ashop and track around the edge of Ladybower Reservoir. The final ascent is then up and over Winhill Pike and then back into the Hope Valley to return to base. Expect to complete the challenge in around 10-11 hours! England South Downs Way 5 Day Trek Take on the full South Downs route all the way from Winchester to Eastbourne over 5 days averaging 20 miles a day! This is an absolute classic undulating trail across 170km with many, many hills to conquer along the way. Following the way of the Pilgrams, you will certainly be put through your paces, but you will be greatly rewarded when you tackle the last component of the Severn Sisters as you come into Eastbourne on your last day, with breathtaking views across the channel. 6 days 170km From £Price on application
England Ten Peak Challenge Adventure Cafe have devised this route to take in a stunning marathon distance (26 miles) circular route within the Peak District National Park. The day challenge starts in Hathersage. The route starts off by heading north and taking us through Burbage and towards the iconic Stanage Edge which forms the border between the High Peak of Derbyshire and Sheffield in South Yorkshire. The highest point here is 538m at Black Tor. An ancient Roman road guides the way on top of Stanage leading us towards the reservoirs of Ladybower and Derwent. Here we will see the grindstones and maybe even a buzz of the dam at Derwent in honour of the great dam busters! Crossing between Derwent and Ladybower we head back onto the hills and take in a few more peaks up towards Win Hill before following the River Noe back towards Hathersage and the finish of the challenge. Now it's time for celebratory drinks after a well-earned day in the Peak District! You'll begin by following the Nedd Fechan ascent via five falls; Sgwd Gwladys, Sgwd y Bedol, Sgwd Ddwli Isaf 1 & 2 and Sgwd Ddwli Uchaf. We then head cross country to step into the Mellte gorge to follow the classic Four Falls trail, taking in Sgwd Clun-Gwyn, Sgwd Isaf Clun-Gwyn, Sgwd y Pannwr and the very special Sgwd yr Eira where you get to walk all the way behind the waterfall. Be prepared you will get wet from the spray! Finally we drop briefly into the Sychryd river for the final tranquil Sychryd Waterfall.
